So you steamed some vegetables and now you have burnt beet water stuck on your favorite pot. Here is how to remove all of it quickly:

1. Fill the pot with 50% water and 50% vinegar.
2. Bring it to a boil.
3. Place the pot in the sink.
4. Add a few tablespoons of baking soda.
5. Let it cool down.
6. Scrub with a scouring pad.

This also works for removing tea or coffee from mugs.

Borax Is It Safe?

Is Borax Safe? Yes. Here is why:

Borax is confused with Boric acid even in scientific studies. They are not the same thing.

It is also called sodium borate, sodium tetraborate, or disodium tetraborate.

It is composed of sodium (in table salt), boron (dietary supplement), oxygen (you breathe it) and water (you drink it).

Borax occurs naturally in evaporite deposits produced by the repeated evaporation of seasonal lakes.

Borax is toxic in the same way that table salt and water are toxic.

Play-Doh which is non-toxic contains Borax. Kids eat Play-Doh all the time.

It does not cause cancer.
